Whether lung malignant tumors can be cured depends on the clinical stage, treatment methods and so on. Early stage lung cancer has the possibility to be cured, and advanced lung cancer can prolong the survival period through comprehensive treatment. Early stage lung cancer can be cured if it is detected early and radical surgery, such as lobectomy, is performed to remove the tumor completely and ensure negative margins. However, it is recommended to have regular review after surgery, and if local recurrence occurs, another surgical intervention can be considered. On the other hand, it is generally difficult to completely cure middle and late stage lung cancer due to the possibility of unresectable tumor and distant metastasis. Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and other comprehensive treatment modalities need to be considered to improve the quality of life and control the development of the disease, so as to effectively prolong the survival period. Lung cancer patients should go to regular hospitals as early as possible, adhere to regular treatment, quit smoking and keep a good mindset.
