What to do if your baby keeps sneezing

Infants sneezing all the time may be caused by environmental factors, and parents should avoid exposing infants to irritating factors. However, it may also be caused by allergic rhinitis, colds and other diseases. Different causes are handled in different ways, and timely consultation should be made.
1. Environmental factors: If infants inhale certain irritating gases, dust and animal dander, they can expel the irritants from their bodies through sneezing, and appear to sneeze all the time. At this time, parents should improve the environment to avoid infants’ exposure to irritants.
2. Allergic rhinitis: Infants sneezing all the time may be caused by allergic rhinitis, usually accompanied by nasal congestion and runny nose. Nasal glucocorticoid drugs such as budesonide can be used to reduce the inflammatory reaction of the nasal mucosa, and cetirizine hydrochloride can also be used to relieve sneezing symptoms.
3. Cold and flu: As the resistance of infants is low, if they are attacked by viruses or bacteria, the reactivity of the nasal mucosa can be enhanced, resulting in the phenomenon of sneezing all the time. It can be treated with pediatric cold granules under doctor’s guidance, with additional antipyretic and analgesic drugs such as acetaminophen if necessary.
Infants who sneeze all the time need to open windows and ventilate appropriately, and give infants more water to relieve sneezing symptoms. If the condition worsens or other uncomfortable symptoms appear, timely consultation should be made to identify the cause of the disease and provide targeted treatment.
