How Toxoplasma gondii is transmitted to people

Toxoplasma gondii can be contracted in the following ways: First, dogs are intermediate hosts of Toxoplasma gondii. Dogs go out and accidentally eat infected feces, hair, or get Toxoplasma gondii eggs on their paws. Owners who eat directly after touching with their hands without washing their hands can cause contact infection with Toxoplasma gondii. Second, domestic cats are infected with Toxoplasma gondii after going out and eating indiscriminately. The owner cleans up the cat’s excrement, or eats directly after close contact with the cat causing infection. Third, eating raw infected cat meat, dog meat, pork and beef and mutton. Therefore, in life, pay attention to washing hands regularly before meals and after stools, keeping a distance from pets in the house, not being too close, and washing hands adequately after contact with excrement or hair.
