The dizziness from eating conch is considered to be food poisoning, and how long it takes to relieve is related to the degree of poisoning of the patient and cannot be generalized. Conch is rich in nutritional value and tastes delicious, but there are conch brains on the head of conch, i.e., two pieces of yellow rice-like material, whose neurosecretory substances can cause food poisoning. In addition, conch contains a large amount of protein, and when consumed in excess, the protein is difficult to digest and can accumulate in the body to produce symptoms such as dizziness and nausea. If the patient eats less and the symptoms of dizziness are mild, he can drink mung bean soup or yellow lenin to detoxify the conch, and the symptoms can usually be relieved after 1-2 hours of conch digestion. If the patient eats more and the dizziness worsens with no sign of improvement, he/she should promptly go to the Department of Allergic Diseases for consultation. In addition, if a patient has symptoms of food poisoning immediately after eating, such as abdominal pain, nausea and dizziness, he or she should immediately undergo emetic treatment by stimulating the pharynx with a finger to induce vomiting of the retained conch in the stomach.
