Is psoriasis hereditary?

Psoriasis may be inherited or triggered by a combination of environmental factors.
Psoriasis is an immune-mediated systemic disease induced by a combination of genetics and environment. There is a genetic predisposition to psoriasis, and if a relative has psoriasis, he or she is more likely to have psoriasis relative to his or her peers.
However, heredity alone is not enough to trigger the disease. Psoriasis may be triggered or exacerbated by infection, trauma, obesity, pregnancy, alcoholism, stress, smoking, and medication stimulation.
Patients with psoriasis may have localized red papules, macules, itchy skin, scales and other symptoms, and some patients may also have symptoms such as joint swelling and pain.
If the patient appears to be suspected of psoriasis symptoms, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital, to clarify the cause of the disease, symptomatic treatment, do not blindly use their own medicine.
