Lipase titration method of enzyme reaction has a normal value of 0.06 to 0.89 U/ml at 4 hours and 0.2 to 1.5 U/ml at 16 to 24 hours. There are two methods of checking lipase, one is titration method and the other is turbidimetric method. The more commonly used test is the titration method, with normal values of 0.06 to 0.89 U/ml at 4 hours and 0.2 to 1.5 U/ml at 16 to 24 hours for the enzymatic reaction. The turbidimetric method is normally positively skewed, with a minimum of OU, and a unilateral 95% upper limit of 7.9U. The main source of lipase is the pancreas, if the serum lipase is elevated, it is mostly considered to be related to acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer and other pancreatic cells are destroyed and released to cause elevated lipase in the blood. However, some patients with intestinal obstruction, duodenal perforation, common bile duct stones or tumors may also have elevated lipase values.
