Teach you how to read semen reports

Semen examination report, mainly look at four aspects, quantity (concentration), vitality, morphology, and liquefaction time. 1. semen volume: ≥1.5ml, sperm concentration: ≥15×106/ml, total sperm count: ≥39×106. The number of sperm in each ml of semen exceeds 15 million, and then multiplied by the total amount of semen is the total number of sperm. A total sperm count of more than 39 million is considered normal. If one of them is not enough, it is oligospermia. If no sperm is seen, it is azoospermia. 2. Sperm motility ≥ 40%, including forward-moving sperm (PR) ≥ 32%, or forward-moving sperm (PR) + non-forward-moving sperm (NP) ≥ 40%. Sperm motility varies from running forward, to spinning in place, to not moving. Forward-running sperm are the elite force and should account for more than 32%. The sperm that run forward plus the sperm that spin in place are called viable sperm and should be above 40%. If one of them is not enough, it is weak spermatozoa. If all the sperm are not moving, it is dead sperm. 3.Normal sperm morphology: ≥4%. Normal spermatozoa look like tadpoles under the microscope, with head, neck and tail, and through the tail constantly swinging, the sperm move forward. In normal semen, less than 96% of the sperm are deformed and only 4% of the normal morphology! 4. Liquefaction time <60 minutes. The freshly removed semen is as thick as gel and liquefies within 60 minutes at room temperature. If the liquefaction time is too long or not liquefied, it is called poor liquefaction or non-liquefaction, which will affect the movement of sperm and thus affect fertility. Special reminder: 1. Abnormal semen test reports indicate that male fertility is declining, but not infertile. Misconceptions: Many couples worry about giving birth to deformed or unhealthy children due to a decrease in sperm quality, and even take contraceptive measures, and must be treated until all indicators are normal before deciding to have children. The right choice: You should hurry up and consult both spouses at the same time to clarify possible fertility disorders as soon as possible, and the doctor will give different treatment advice according to different conditions, and cooperate fully with the doctor's guidance to achieve what you want as soon as possible. 2, semen collection precautions: (1) avoid intercourse within 2 to 7 days before sperm collection. (2) Use the masturbation method to collect semen. (3) Collect all the semen ejaculated at one time in a sperm collection cup or a special condom that is not toxic to sperm and send it for examination within 1 hour, paying attention to heat preservation on the way (semen should be kept in an environment of 20-37°C). 3, factors affecting sperm sperm formation time takes about 80 days, in the first three months of preparation for childbirth, pay attention to minimize factors that are unfavorable to sperm, such as sexually transmitted diseases, environmental pollution, smoking and drinking, prolonged contact with electrical appliances too often, underwear too tight, hot baths, picky and partial food, long-term drug use, drug addiction, long riding racing, etc., strive for balanced nutrition, moderate exercise, adequate sleep, a healthy lifestyle, and a healthy child. To raise healthy children!
