Prevalence of hemorrhoids

Current statistics show that the prevalence of hemorrhoids is around 50% in the Chinese population, which is quite high. The incidence of hemorrhoids is slightly lower in men than in women, and there is no obvious age limit for the onset of hemorrhoids, which can occur in all age groups, but is more prevalent in people between the ages of 20 and 60. Most patients with hemorrhoids can be treated conservatively with medication to control the symptoms of hemorrhoids, and only 5-10% of patients need surgery. Patients with hemorrhoids usually need to pay attention to a light diet, eat more vegetables, fruits and other coarse fiber food, avoid spicy, irritating food, keep the stool soft and fluent, usually to work and rest regularly, avoid staying up late, strain, etc. Doing the above can prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids, or delay the development of hemorrhoids.
