Bronchiectasis is an irreversible dilatation of the bronchi and fine bronchioles caused by repeated airway inflammation. It may be related to respiratory inflammation, bronchial obstruction, heredity and other conditions. It may lead to coughing up large amounts of purulent sputum, recurrent hemoptysis, chest tightness, dyspnea, shortness of breath, and other symptoms.
Foods to avoid in bronchiectasis include spicy stimulation, greasy, barbecue, fried, raw and cold foods, such as cold drinks fresh out of the refrigerator, as well as fatty meats, barbecue skewers, chili peppers and so on. Stop smoking and drinking.
