Can cervical spondylosis cause dizziness?

Cervical spondylosis can cause patients to experience dizziness. By relaxing the neck muscles to relieve muscle tension and promote blood circulation in the neck and shoulder area, dizziness symptoms can be properly relieved. Patients with cervical spondylosis feel dizzy in the brain when they turn their heads suddenly in daily life, or when they turn their heads properly and slowly as well as when they bend sideways to a certain degree, they will induce or even aggravate dizziness in the case of poor blood supply to the neck, and in serious cases, they will feel nauseous and vomit on their own, which can be relieved after proper rest or when their heads return to their original positions. Some patients with cervical spondylosis may also have symptoms such as arteriosclerosis, so whenever the head is rotated, it will cause the arteries to be stimulated or compressed, resulting in a transient blood supply disorder to the brain and thus a feeling of dizziness. Patients should strictly follow the doctor’s orders during the treatment process, choose a cervical collar or cervical brace for protection, appropriately restrict cervical activities and avoid excessive activities, and also perform auxiliary treatments such as acupuncture in Chinese medicine.
