Prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis

Wang Zuo, Department of Pediatrics, Wuhu First People’s Hospital: Allergic rhinitis is the same disease as asthma, which can affect each other. The current treatment is mainly in 2 aspects, one is to find the allergen, if it can be avoided, it will not develop, but in many cases, no clear allergen can be found, and some can not be avoided even if found, such as dust mites, etc.; only desensitization treatment may be needed. The second is to control the symptoms by using hormone nasal sprays and/or taking leukotriene antagonists such as sulforaphane, and sometimes anti-allergy drugs can be used for a short period of time; if you cannot avoid exposure to allergens it is generally difficult to cure the disease, and some children develop well and stop having attacks.
