Elevated pulmonary vascular resistance and pulmonary hypertension are the main links in the pathogenesis of chronic pulmonary heart disease. Chronic pulmonary heart disease is a common disease in China, often occurring in chronic diseases of the respiratory system such as chronic bronchitis, bronchiolitis, chronic interstitial pneumonia, emphysema and other chronic diseases that last for many years. Lung ventilation and gas exchange dysfunction, the body is in a long-term lack of oxygen, resulting in pulmonary vasoconstriction, small arterial smooth muscle hypertrophy within the lungs, intima-media fibrosis, resulting in elevated pulmonary vascular resistance, and then pulmonary hypertension, resulting in an increase in the right ventricular load of the heart, and ultimately the right ventricle is hypertrophied, dilated, and functionally decreased. Therefore, elevated pulmonary vascular resistance and pulmonary hypertension are the main links in the pathogenesis of chronic pulmonary heart disease.
