Constipation and diarrhea alternately can be seen in a variety of diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal tuberculosis, ulcerative colitis, intestinal tumors and so on.
1. Irritable bowel syndrome: it is a common dysfunctional syndrome, which can be caused by allergy, infection and other factors. The main symptoms can be seen as abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation alternately, and feces containing a lot of mucus.
2. Intestinal tuberculosis: it is a kind of intestinal infectious disease, which can be caused by bacterial infection, low immunity and other factors. The main symptoms can be seen as alternating diarrhea and constipation, abdominal pain, abdominal mass and so on.
3. Ulcerative colitis: it is a chronic inflammatory disease, which can be caused by heredity and environmental changes. The main symptoms can be seen as abdominal pain and constipation alternately, mucus, pus and blood stools, and so on.
4. Intestinal tumor: such as colon cancer, rectal cancer and other intestinal tumors, the local exudate and mucus secretion of the tumor increases, and the intestinal tract is stimulated to cause intestinal dysfunction, which leads to the symptoms of diarrhea. Constipation is usually caused by acute and chronic intestinal obstruction induced by the tumor. If the patient has alternating symptoms of constipation and diarrhea, it may suggest that the lesion is increasing in size and the condition is progressing.
