Is it normal for babies to sneeze?

Sneezing in infants can occur under normal circumstances, mainly as a reaction of the nasal mucosa defense system to unknown external substances, but if frequent episodes occur, it is considered to be caused by upper respiratory tract infections and allergic diseases. First of all, sneezing is commonly caused by viral infection, which leads to inflammation and edema of the nasal mucosa, usually accompanied by nasal congestion and runny nose, etc. If there is no fever and cough and sputum, the treatment of this condition is recommended to pay attention to rest and keep warm, prevent cold, drink more water and take oral anti-infection and antiviral treatment with Chinese or Western medicine. Secondly, allergic factors are considered to cause khat symptoms, mainly due to airway hyperresponsiveness caused by exposure to allergens, including cold control, pollen and allergic drugs and foods. In conclusion, there are many causes of sneezing in infants, but generally the first consideration is infection and allergy. If both diseases are present, it is recommended to go to the hospital for relevant tests such as allergen and blood tests to clarify the cause and guide the treatment.
