Soft plaques, also called unstable plaques, are those that form over a relatively short period of time and are prone to dislodgement leading to embolization. At present, there is no way to completely eliminate soft plaques from blood vessels. However, according to the degree of narrowing of blood vessels caused by plaque and whether it causes infarction of vital organs, drug treatment, interventional surgery and other measures can be taken.
1. Drug treatment: If the plaque only causes mild narrowing of blood vessels and does not cause infarction of vital organs, it can be taken. Commonly used drugs include lipid-lowering drugs and antiplatelet aggregation drugs. Lipid-lowering drugs generally refer to statins, such as atorvastatin and resuvastatin. Antiplatelet aggregation drugs mainly refer to aspirin and so on.
2. Surgery: If plaque causes serious blockage of blood vessels or infarction of vital organs, surgery or intervention should be taken in time.
After the discovery of vascular soft plaque, it should be treated under the guidance of professional doctors.
