For patients with stage 1B lung adenocarcinoma with pleural invasion, some of them can be treated with chemotherapy and some of them can be treated with targeted therapy, and it is generally not possible to generalize which treatment is better. Stage 1B lung adenocarcinoma with pleural invasion indicates that patients have high risk factors for recurrence and metastasis, so they need to be given adjuvant chemotherapy or targeted therapy after surgery. Current research has confirmed that four cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy can significantly reduce the recurrence and metastasis rate and improve the survival rate of patients, and the commonly used adjuvant chemotherapy regimen is the combination of pemetrexed and platinum-based regimen, but the medication should be chosen by specialists according to the patient’s condition. For stage IB lung adenocarcinoma patients with EGFR-sensitive gene mutations, the targeted drug ositinib can also be chosen for treatment, which can help reduce the recurrence rate of postoperative lung adenocarcinoma lesions.
