Causes of high absolute basophil values

High absolute value of basophils may be related to allergic diseases, hematologic diseases, malignant tumors and other causes.
1. Allergic diseases: Since basophils are involved in body inflammation and type I hypersensitivity reaction, when the body suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, allergic colitis, or when the body is allergic to certain foods or inhaled substances, it can cause high absolute basophil values.
2. Blood system diseases: Since basophils are produced by bone marrow cells, when suffering from chronic myeloid leukemia, basophilic leukemia and other blood diseases, it can lead to abnormal proliferation of basophils, resulting in high absolute value of basophils.
3. Malignant tumor: some malignant tumors, especially metastatic cancer, can increase basophils in the body.
When basophilic granulocytosis occurs, the cause can be further clarified under the guidance of doctor and actively treated.
