What is the Hcg level for pregnancy

What is the Hcg level for pregnancy? Many pregnant women get the early pregnancy hcg laboratory test, see the blood test value is elevated, think there is an abnormal situation, for most of the blood test items, we hope that the blood test results in the normal range, but for pregnant women, we hope that the hcg value is more ideal, but how much hcg value is pregnant that? The first thing we need to know is what hcg is. The full name of hcg is HumanChorionicGonadotropin, and the full name in Chinese is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. hcg is produced by the syncytial trophoblast cells of the placental chorionic villi. It consists of glycoproteins of α and β dimers. β-subunit is specific to hCG, so β-hcg is often used instead of hcg in clinical tests of obstetrics and gynecology. hcg’s main function is to stimulate the corpus luteum, facilitate the continuous secretion of estrogen and luteinizing hormone, promote the formation of uterine meconium, enable the placenta to grow and mature, maintain the development of embryo, and play an important role during pregnancy. The secretion of hCG starts from 6-8 days after fertilization and can be measured in the urine of pregnant women on day 9-16. Its content gradually increases with the development of fertilized eggs, and its concentration rises rapidly in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy to maintain pregnancy. It reaches a peak in the 8th-11th weeks and then gradually decreases until it reaches relative stability at about 20 weeks. Hcg is the most important indicator to determine pregnancy, so many people will ask how much hcg is to indicate pregnancy that. Generally speaking, as long as the hcg is greater than the reference range of the testing machine, it indicates pregnancy. First of all, to be clear, the normal range of different testing machines will be slightly different, but the difference is not significant. For most testing machines, the normal value of non-pregnant blood hCG is <10iu/L, and the normal value of beta-hCG is <3.1iu/L. Generally, the beta-hCG release value of normal women is less than 3.1, and if it is more than 5, conception can be considered possible, and if it is more than 10, pregnancy is basically confirmed. Key note: The checklist suggests pregnancy if the beta-hCG value is greater than the reference range on the checklist, and it is also simply to determine whether or not you are pregnant. But there are the following points need to focus: 1, at least 9 days after sex to check the blood to suggest that the β-hCG is elevated, before that check the blood may suggest that the β-hCG is normal, but may have been pregnant. That is, there is a time window to detect hcg. 2, one blood test hcg can not absolutely determine the health of the embryo or not, it needs to be judged by the trend of more than two blood tests together. If the hcg rise is ideal, it means that the embryo is normal, if the hcg rise is slow or falling, it indicates that the embryo is not developing well, ectopic pregnancy, embryonic abortion or biochemical pregnancy. 3. For pregnant women after miscarriage or normal delivery, hcg in the blood will not disappear immediately, it takes about 28 days to complete the metabolism, so don't be nervous when the above-mentioned pregnant women have elevated hcg within 28 days, it is likely to be a normal metabolic process.
