Lumbar disc herniation is a syndrome caused by rupture of the lumbar intervertebral disc fibrous ring and protrusion of the nucleus pulposus tissue, which compresses or irritates the nerve roots, causing back pain and pain and numbness in one or both lower limbs. Pathogenic factors: Accumulated strain is the main factor. Lumbar trauma, sprain, cold, and strain can cause or induce disc herniation. Clinical symptoms: low back pain, accompanied by pain and numbness in one or both lower extremities, and the pain and numbness increase with lumbar activities and coughing; symptoms such as coldness in the lower extremities, loss of skin sensation and muscle atrophy may also occur. Main examination: CT or magnetic resonance examination, to clarify the location and size of the protrusion, the degree of nerve root compression, and determine the treatment plan; at the same time, tumors, tuberculosis and other diseases can be excluded. Treatment: conservative, minimally invasive or surgical treatment according to the condition 1. conservative treatment: bed rest, medication, lumbar spine traction, massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy, etc. 2.Minimally invasive treatment: collagenase nucleolysis, transabdominal puncture nucleus pulposus removal, laser radiofrequency, intervertebral discoscopy, etc. 3.Surgical treatment. Our department has carried out collagenase lysis treatment for 10 years, treating more than 500 cases with remarkable efficacy and at the leading level in the city. More than 90% of lumbar disc herniation can be cured by non-surgical treatment. Precautions: 1. Avoid heavy physical labor and strenuous lumbar exercise within 1 to 3 months after treatment. 2, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, avoid cold and overexertion. 3.Strengthen lumbar muscle exercise in life.
