No drugs were added to the swabs used for the new crown nucleic acid test; they were just plain dry swabs. The mucosal secretions are collected by wiping the dry swab over the posterior wall of the pharynx and bilateral tonsils several times over and over again, and then placed in a test tube with a tightly screwed cap and sealed.
The dry swab used in the process of doing nucleic acid testing is also known as a pharyngeal swab, nasal swab, and anal swab. It is mainly used to collect localized mucus and serves no other special purpose. Only when enough mucus is collected can the nucleic acids of the new coronavirus be detected more accurately, thus ensuring the accuracy of the results.
Therefore there is no medicine on these throat swabs, nasal swabs and anal swabs, and once there is medicine, the accuracy of the nucleic acid test may be affected.
