Can a diabetic child type 1 be cured?

Children with type 1 diabetes cannot be cured under the current level of medical care, but the disease can be controlled to an ideal degree. Type 1 diabetes mellitus is mainly caused by absolute deficiency of insulin secretion due to insufficient insulin secretion from pancreatic islet cells, poor development of islet cells, and restriction of insulin receptors. It may also be caused by congenital hereditary or genetic defects. Since the function of pancreatic islets can no longer be restored to normal, it cannot be completely cured from the root. However, lifelong replacement therapy with insulin injections can control blood glucose to the desired level, i.e. clinical cure. Insulin injection can mimic the physiological insulin secretion pattern, which can achieve the effect of continuous pumping 24 hours a day to maintain normal blood glucose levels in the body. Since insulin treatment protocols should be individualized, it is recommended that children with type 1 diabetes go to the hospital in a timely manner and follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delays.
