What is myasthenia gravis crisis?

According to TCM, the occurrence of myasthenia gravis crisis is caused by atmospheric subsidence. Clinical manifestations mainly include difficulty in breathing, chest tightness like choking, inability to lie down, difficulty in swallowing, choking back on drinking, increased and outflowing sputum in the throat, diplopia, strabismus, eye fixation, profuse sweating, uselessness of the form, mental tension, headache, and even coma as a critical symptom. Chinese medicine believes that the root of vital energy is in the kidney, and the kidney is the root of the human body, which is vital to the human body, and the vital energy sprouts from the kidney, and the sprouting of vital energy needs the drainage of the liver, and the development and growth of vital energy needs the nourishment of the spleen. It has the important role of “supporting the whole body”. It is like growing crops, the seed is the kidney, and the germination of the seed requires loosening the soil, watering, and fertilizing. Loosening the soil, watering and fertilizing is equivalent to the drainage of the liver. The process of seed germination and growth requires a constant supply of nutrients, and the supply of nutrients mainly comes from the soil, the soil of the vital energy is the spleen. Finally the essence of the crop is constantly stored in the fruit or root leaves, which is like the atmosphere in the chest. If the atmosphere is deficient, the internal organs will be out of duty, as the saying goes, “the in and out of the waste is the God’s machine extinguished, the lift rest is the gas standing alone in danger”. In the different stages of the onset of myasthenia gravis, the degree of deficiency is different, and the focus on the internal organs is also different, but all are manifestations of atmospheric deficiency. Zhang Xicun, a Chinese medicine expert, said that “the atmosphere is based on vital energy, with water and grain as nourishment, with the chest as the residence cave, and sprouted in the liver”.
