What is a drug allergy?

  Drug allergy, also called drug allergy, is an allergic reaction caused by the use of medication. Allergic reactions are an abnormal type of immune response. An abnormal immune response, whether too strong or too weak, is detrimental to the body and can cause a series of lesions; this condition caused by drugs is drug allergy. It often manifests as skin flushing, itching, palpitations, rash, difficulty in whistling, and in severe cases, shock or death.  Treatment measures 1, supportive therapy Give the patient favorable conditions, avoid unfavorable factors, in order to successfully pass its self-limiting course, such as bed rest, diet rich in nutrition, maintain a suitable warm and cold environment, prevent secondary infections, etc.  2.Medication Different measures should be taken according to the severity of the disease.  (1) mild cases ① 1 to 2 kinds of antihistamines orally; ② vitamin C1g injection, once a day; ③ 10% calcium gluconate or 10% sodium thiosulfate 10ml injection, 1 to 2 days; ④ local external application of camphor or menthol containing glyburide lotion, oscillating lotion or puff powder, several times a day to stop itching, heat dissipation, anti-inflammatory, generally about a week can be cured.  (2) Slightly severe cases refer to those with extensive rash and fever.  (1) bed rest; (2) application of the above drugs; (3) prednisone 20-30mg daily, divided into 3-4 oral doses, generally about 2 weeks can be completely recovered.
