High blood pressure, i.e. systolic blood pressure of 140mmHg is higher than the normal systolic blood pressure range, belongs to the category of hypertension, but the grading of hypertension needs to be judged by the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure together. The normal range of systolic blood pressure is 120mmHg to 139mmHg, so a systolic blood pressure of 140mmHg belongs to hypertension. The normal range of diastolic blood pressure is 70~89mmHg, if the diastolic blood pressure is within the normal range, it belongs to grade 1 hypertension, if the diastolic blood pressure is higher than 100mmHg and less than 110mmHg, it belongs to grade 2 hypertension. For Grade 1 hypertension, dietary control and lifestyle control are the mainstays, while for Grade 2 hypertension and above, drug treatment is needed, with common therapeutic drugs including the β-receptor antagonist propranolol, the diuretic furosemide, and the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor captopril, and so on. The treatment measures for hypertension need to be combined with diastolic and systolic blood pressure comprehensive judgment, so it is recommended to go to the hospital for a clear diagnosis, standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
