If an incomplete mediastinum is found on ultrasound, it means that the uterine cavity is divided into two parts under ultrasound imaging and there may be a mediastinum in the middle, which may have certain effects on pregnancy and may result in miscarriage, premature delivery or infertility. If there is a history of recurrent miscarriage or preterm delivery, hysteroscopy may be required to restore the normal uterine cavity by electrosurgery of the longitudinal uterus before pregnancy or pregnancy preparation.
