Treatment of Bone Island

Bone islands do not require any treatment. Bone islands are formed because of abnormal localized bone growth due to some reason. However, this growth is normal, not pathologic, and does not affect the health of the body, but is a localized increase in the density of the bone. It is common to see an increase in density between the femoral ridge or within the femoral stem in the lower extremities to form a bone island, indicating an appropriate increase in local bone density, but it does not mean that the formation of the bone island is a pathological manifestation, so the bone island does not require special treatment.
