Blood spots with the size of a pinhole on the skin may be cherry hemangioma, thrombocytopenic purpura, spider nevus and so on.
1. Cherry hemangioma: it is a kind of relatively common benign acquired hemangioma, and the clinical manifestation of patients is that there are multiple hemispherical papules of 1~5mm on the skin, with the color of bright red to purplish-red, and fading when pressed. This disease has no obvious effect on health.
2. Thrombocytopenic purpura: It is a hemorrhagic disease characterized by skin and mucous membrane bleeding due to thrombocytopenia, and patients may have skin or mucous membrane petechiae, ecchymosis, presenting pinprick-sized blood spots. Some patients may also be accompanied by hematuria, proteinuria, fatigue, fever and other symptoms.
3. Spider nevus: the cause of this disease is not clear, and it may be related to the increase of estrogen level. The patient’s capillaries are dilated, and red skin lesions of different sizes appear.
