A case of refractory cardiac arrhythmia herbal treatment experience sharing

Patient, female, 40 years old. She presented with a complaint of “recurrent panic attacks, shortness of breath and weakness for 5 years”. 5 years ago, she developed panic attacks and shortness of breath for unknown reasons. A 24-hour electrocardiogram revealed frequent ventricular premature, atrial premature, and short paroxysmal atrial tachycardia with a basal heart rate of sinus bradycardia and sinus arrest. The patient had been treated at several major hospitals (including provincial hospitals and well-known hospitals in Beijing) and given a variety of western and proprietary Chinese medicines, but the results were not good. The patient’s symptoms were recurrent and persistent. Later, the patient was referred to our clinic by a family member or friend. The patient’s condition was analyzed as “slow and fast syndrome” of cardiac arrhythmia. After examining the patient’s tongue, moss and pulse and asking about his diet, living, mental health and stool, we considered that the patient was suffering from a deficiency of heart and kidney yang and complex arrhythmia caused by phlegm and stagnation. The patient was asked to gradually stop using all western and proprietary Chinese medicines, and the Chinese medicine was given for half a month to benefit Qi and warm Yang, invigorate blood circulation, remove blood stasis, expel phlegm and broaden the chest. The heart panic and premature beats basically disappeared, and the pulse rate was in the range of 60-64 beats per minute with a neat rhythm. According to the situation, the drug dose was adjusted and the drug was reduced and then the patient took Chinese medicine for half a month, and the symptoms of panic and shortness of breath disappeared. The patient’s symptoms of panic and shortness of breath disappeared. The dose was then reduced to consolidate the efficacy for half a month, after which the patient was cured and did not have any further attacks and worked and lived normally. Chinese medicine is an ancestral treasure of China. As long as the evidence and disease identification are in place and accurate, the efficacy is indeed very precise. Especially for some chronic diseases, some difficult diseases, some diseases that are difficult to be effective with western medicine, the effect is better, and even play a magical effect that is not intended. I would like to share with you here, and hope that you will consider using Chinese medicine when you encounter difficult diseases.
