When to spot a scarred pregnancy

Keloid pregnancies are detected after 40 days of menopause. Before 40 days of menopause the fertilized egg is relatively small and even if the pregnancy is inside the uterus, sometimes it is not visible under the ultrasound. After 40 days of menopause the fertilized egg is relatively large and the pregnancy can be seen inside the uterine cavity on the ultrasound; an ectopic pregnancy cannot be seen. If you see a gestational sac inside the uterine cavity, in the lower part of the uterus, where the scar is located, it is considered to be a keloid pregnancy. Keloid pregnancies can also be differentiated from early miscarriages, as some women may have a miscarriage and the fertilized egg may be shed in this area, but this can be confirmed on ultrasound.
