How long does it take for stage 2 syphilis to progress to stage 3?

Stage III syphilis mostly occurs 3~4 years after stage II syphilis (as early as 2 years and as late as 20 years).
Stage III syphilis mostly develops due to untreated or inadequately treated early syphilis, such as stage III cutaneous and mucous membrane syphilis, which mostly occurs 3~7 years after infection, while dendritis occurs later, even decades later; late cardiovascular syphilis mostly occurs 10~30 years after infection, and some patients can be combined with neurosyphilis.
Acquired syphilis includes early syphilis and late syphilis; early syphilis includes stage I syphilis, stage II syphilis, etc.; late syphilis includes stage III skin, mucous membrane, bone syphilis, cardiovascular syphilis and neurosyphilis.
Different stages of syphilis have different clinical manifestations, and it is recommended that early diagnosis, early treatment, adequate amount of standardized medication, and close follow-up.
