Thymoma B2 type II patients have a cure rate of over 80%, but they are also prone to recurrence, with a recurrence rate of over 10%. Thymoma is classified according to the incidence of thymic epithelial cells and the proportion of lymphocytes as A, AB, B and C. Thymoma type B is divided into three types, B1, B2 and B3, of which type B2 is a cortical thymoma, which belongs to the moderately malignant tumor. Once diagnosed with thymoma, complete surgical resection is the most effective treatment, but the recurrence rate of thymoma after complete resection is 10-30%, and the recurrence rate of thymoma type B2 is higher compared to type B1. The 5-year survival rate of patients with thymoma type B2 is about 80%, and the 10-year survival rate is about 70%. If the diagnosis of thymoma type B2 is confirmed, it is recommended to seek surgical resection as soon as possible under the guidance of the doctor, and choose adjuvant treatment options according to the condition in order to improve the cure rate.
