What’s wrong with a vague pain in the liver when you sleep at night?

Hidden pain in the liver at night sleep may be related to liver disease, biliary system disease, lung disease and other factors. First of all, in terms of anatomical location, the liver is inextricably linked to the gallbladder, and pain in the liver or gallbladder, both often in the right upper abdomen, is difficult to distinguish. Possible causes of pain in the liver area are: liver abscess, liver cyst, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis or even liver or gallbladder cancer. Additionally the liver in a normal person is within the rib cage and is difficult to reach, therefore pain caused by lung disease can also be mistaken for liver pain, e.g., pneumonia, chest wall disease, etc. Determining what causes pain in the liver area requires a diagnosis based on the causative agent, the nature and extent of accompanying symptoms, and imaging studies. It is advisable to consult a medical professional at a regular hospital if you experience pain in the liver area.
