Antigen testing is generally referred to as neocoronavirus antigen testing. Two lines of antigen testing generally indicate the presence of neocoronavirus infection. Neocoronavirus antigen test is used to screen for the presence of the new coronavirus, which is faster and easier to perform, but has a lower accuracy rate, and is currently only used for screening, and cannot replace the nucleic acid test for neocoronavirus. The presence of two lines on the antigen test is often considered to be a new coronavirus infection. False-positive results exist in the new crown antigen test. If the test is not performed correctly, two lines of antigen may appear, so it is not possible to confirm that the patient is definitely infected with the new crown virus. It is recommended that the patient go to the local medical institution for relevant examinations. If the result of the new crown nucleic acid test is positive, or the clinical symptoms of new crown pneumonia appear, it can be diagnosed as new crown virus infection, and it is necessary to cooperate with the doctor to carry out isolation treatment. If the result of antigen test is positive, the presence of new coronavirus infection is considered, and further examination is recommended. Tip: In this article, the terms “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” were renamed to “new coronavirus infection” on December 26, 2022, as announced by the National Health Commission.
