What is inflammatory bowel disease? The so-called inflammatory bowel disease is a non-specific chronic inflammatory bowel disease, mainly including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, the former mainly damages the colon and rectum, and the latter can damage any gastrointestinal area from the oral cavity to the anus, and it is more common in the end of the small intestine and colon. If a patient has hemorrhoids on top of inflammatory bowel disease, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is “worse than worse”. Therefore, during the acute or active phase of inflammatory bowel disease, conservative treatment is preferred, including improvement of lifestyle habits, dietary modifications, and medication. Improvement of living habits, such as moderate exercise, smoking cessation and alcohol restriction, regular work and rest, avoiding late nights and overwork. Dietary adjustments, on the other hand, should emphasize the long-term destructive effects of western dietary structures such as cheese and cream on the intestinal tract, and avoid highly allergic foods such as seafood, shrimp, crab, barbecue, hot pot and other foods. More intake of high fiber foods, such as green leafy vegetables, coarse grains, fruits and so on. When the intestinal disease is in remission, and conservative treatment has not been effective, patients can be elective hemorrhoidectomy.
