Protecting the vaginal environment

People’s awareness of environmental protection is getting stronger and stronger, and China has caused a lot of damage to the environment in the process of strengthening its wealth, which did not attract much attention at that time, resulting in a discordant sound between development and the environment. But as the economy improves, environmental issues are becoming more important to people. In the female vagina, as in the natural environment, there are intrinsic environmental issues, such as self-purification, intrinsic flora balance and natural acid-base environment. If the intrinsic acid-base environment is changed, it will lead to disorder of the flora, bacteria will kill each other and compete for living space, and even lead to the invasion of pathogenic bacteria. Zhang Weiyang, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Second Hospital of Jilin University In clinical practice, we often meet patients who have to wash their vagina every day, some even two or three times, because if they don’t wash, they will feel dirty and always have a bad smell. In fact, this is a big mistake and involuntarily destroys the inner environment of the vagina. Women should know that on both sides of the vaginal opening there is a pair of thin skin folds, like two doors, which close the vaginal opening when closed. This is the labia minora, which plays the role of external pathogenic bacteria invasion defense and anatomical self-protection. This tells us to maintain good hygiene, wash the vulva to prevent pathogenic bacteria from invading, and not to wash the vagina easily, which is damaging the vaginal environment. The environment is damaged, but it should be treated.
