Frequent urination in children refers to a significant increase in the number of times a child urinates, which is a very common phenomenon. There are many causes of frequent urination in children, which are divided into two categories: physiological and pathological. If a child drinks more water and the weather is particularly cold, most cases of frequent urination in children are considered to be physiological. Most of these children have a cold or other disease, and then they have frequent urination, and the amount of urine each time is very small, and the urine test and ultrasound of bilateral kidneys are normal. There are also some diseases that can cause frequent urination in children, such as urinary tract infections, which mainly manifest as frequent, urgent and painful urination, congenital structural abnormalities in children, such as cysts at the end of the ureter, and if there are stones and tumors in the urinary tract, they may cause frequent urination in children. Pathological pediatric urinary frequency is usually accompanied by varying degrees of urinary urgency and painful urination, and can be diagnosed quickly through routine urine tests and ultrasound. Pediatric frequent urination is a relatively common symptom, of which physiological frequent urination is more common and is generally associated with environmental and mental factors. Pathological factors are relatively rare. Parents should not be nervous about frequent urination in children, but should actively look for the cause for symptomatic treatment.
