How to distinguish rectal cancer blood in stool from hemorrhoids

Rectal cancer and hemorrhoids may both have blood in the stool, but there are some differences between the two, as follows: 1. Rectal cancer: blood in the stool is usually bright red or dark red blood, the bleeding is not much, usually blood and stool mix together, thus presenting as jam-like stool or mucus blood stool. 2. Hemorrhoids: bleeding is usually after forceful defecation, anal drip of bright red blood. Blood and stool are usually separated. In addition to the specific situation of blood in the stool, the difference between rectal cancer and hemorrhoids is that rectal cancer may also be combined with symptoms specific to other tumors, such as intestinal irritation, diarrhea, constipation, alternating constipation and diarrhea, anal swelling, abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction, abdominal mass or general symptoms such as anemia, emaciation, general weakness, etc., while hemorrhoids do not have these symptoms. The symptoms of hemorrhoids are not listed above.
