Common causes of enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes in adults include lymphadenitis, tumors (including lymphoma), and tuberculosis. Different causes have different treatment methods, and targeted treatment is needed under the guidance of a doctor.
1. Inflammation: according to the cause of lymph node enlargement, take appropriate medication. For example, for bacterial infections, antibiotics such as amoxicillin and cefaclor can be taken; for viral infections, drugs such as acyclovir and ribavirin can be taken; for parasitic infections, albendazole can be taken.
2. If the enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes in adults are caused by tumors (including lymphoma), in addition to treating the primary tumors with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc., the enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes can be cleared during surgery.
3. Tuberculosis: it can be treated with anti-tuberculosis chemotherapeutic drugs such as streptomycin, rifampicin, isoniazid and so on under doctor’s guidance.
Adults with enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
