Infantile eczema is mainly an inflammation of the superficial dermis and epidermis caused by various internal and external factors. The etiology of the disease has not yet been clarified, and it is considered to be related to internal factors, such as chronic infections, and external factors, such as contact with allergic substances. It can be intervened by improving contact substances and medication.
1. Improve the contact substances: Infants’ skin is relatively delicate, it is recommended to avoid the use of wool and other allergy-prone substances, and use more cotton clothing that is milder, in addition to the use of appropriate moisturizers to increase the moisture of the baby’s skin and reduce the chances of allergy.
2. Drug treatment: in acute non-exudate children, can use weak glucocorticoid ointment external coating for treatment, such as the commonly used Dinaid cream (for infants over 3 months). If the oozing fluid is more, 2% boric acid solution can be used for disinfection, anti-inflammatory and astringent wet compresses.
For children with more severe itching symptoms, oral antihistamines can be given to fight inflammation and relieve itching symptoms, such as cetirizine (available for infants over 6 months).
So when babies have eczema, it is important to pay attention to timely hospitalization, under the guidance of the doctor for reasonable treatment.
