Free and Easy is composed of Licorice, Angelica Sinensis, Poria, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Atractylodes Macrocephala and Radix Bupleurum Chinense, which is effective in detoxifying the liver and relieving depression, nourishing the blood and strengthening the spleen.
In this formula, Chai Hu is effective in dispersing the liver and relieving depression; Angelica Sinensis is sweet, hard and warm, nourishing blood and blood; Paeonia lactiflora is sour, bitter and cold, nourishing blood and astringing yin, softening the liver; Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria and licorice are effective in invigorating the spleen and benefiting the qi; Mentha piperita is effective in dispersing stifled qi and transmitting the stifling of heat of the liver meridians; burnt ginger is neutralizing the middle of the body and can be used in pungent dispersal of stifling of blood; and licorice is able to harmonize the various medicines.
Free and Easy Dispersal is indicated for treating liver depression, blood deficiency and spleen weakness. Symptoms include pain in the two sides, headache and dizziness, dry mouth and throat, fatigue (lack of spirit) and low food intake, or irregular menstruation and breast distension. It does not normally cause fire.
