Parkinson’s disease upper body exercise training method

  1.Head and neck exercises: ① first tilt your head backwards, eyes on the ceiling for about 5 seconds; then lower your head and keep your jaw as close to your chest as possible, hold for 5 seconds; ② return your head to neutral position and twist it horizontally to the left and right sides respectively, hold for 5 seconds each; ③ tilt your head to the left and right sides, keep your ears as close to your shoulders as possible, hold for 5 seconds each; ④ stretch your jaw forward as much as possible and hold for 5 seconds; then tuck your jaw in as much as possible, hold for 5 seconds again.  2, shoulder and arm exercises: ① shrug your shoulders, then relax, repeat 5 times; ② both arms straight up, fingertips try to extend upward, hold for 5 seconds; ③ hands behind the back clasp, stretch back up, hold for 5 seconds; ④ one arm bent elbow behind the head, the other hand to grab the side of the wrist, and apply force to pull.  3, trunk exercises: should often carry out the bending and twisting movement of the spine, and strengthen the abdomen and waist and back muscles exercise.  It is important to emphasize that Parkinson’s disease patients must ensure safety when exercising, pay attention to the speed and magnitude of the action to avoid unnecessary injuries.
