How to treat reflux esophagitis?

Reflux esophagitis is an inflammation of the esophagus caused by the reflux of stomach and duodenal contents into the esophagus. Its main symptoms include heartburn, pain behind the sternum, acid reflux and regurgitation, as well as difficulty in swallowing; the symptoms worsen after eating and at night, seriously affecting patients’ eating and sleeping. It is difficult for patients to accept the traditional surgical treatment because it is traumatic. 1.Laparoscopic fundoplication has good effect in treating reflux esophagitis. Since 2004, our hospital has performed this operation more than 10 cases, the symptoms disappeared after surgery, no recurrence cases. A large number of foreign clinical practice has confirmed that laparoscopic fundoplication is the best surgical method for the treatment of reflux esophagitis. It has the advantages of small trauma, short hospital stay and good anti-reflux effect, and has been widely used for the treatment of reflux esophagitis. Patients are usually hospitalized for 10 to 14 days, and only five scars of about 1 cm are left in the abdomen after surgery. 2.Laparoscopic fundoplication is suitable for the following patients: moderate or severe reflux esophagitis, those with symptoms and esophagitis still very serious after medical treatment, those with long-standing esophageal ulcers and bleeding; those with obvious combined esophageal hiatal hernia; young people who need a lot of medication for a long time; recurrent peptic esophageal strictures, etc., all need surgery.
