Currently, chronic sinusitis-nasal polyps are mainly treated by nasal endoscopic surgery, but it is often difficult to restore the patient’s nasal mucosa to normal with surgery alone. Adjunctive medication plays a central role at this time. Surgery can remove the diseased mucosa that cannot be changed by preoperative medication and unblock the sinus drainage channels, and it can resolve mucosal adhesions and clear the airways so that nasal spray medication can reach the lesion more effectively, but surgery by itself cannot cure complex nasal diseases. Patients should also be aware of the importance of adherence to medication for optimal outcomes and improved life treatment.
