Classification of uterine fibroid degeneration

There are several major types of degeneration of uterine fibroids: 1. glass-like changes: in normal fibroids, a swirling structure can be seen by cutting open one of its surfaces, while the swirling structure seen in glass-like changes disappears, and the muscle fibers inside are also lost; 2. cystic changes: cystic changes are derived from glass-like changes, and liquefy after glass-like changes, forming empty sacs, and then further forming cystic changes; 3. red-like changes It is common in pregnancy combined with uterine fibroids, manifesting as abdominal pain and increased white blood cells; 4, sarcoma of uterine fibroids: manifesting as a rapid increase in volume, with the clinical possibility of abnormal uterine bleeding, an increase in the size of the tumor, or causing abdominal pain; 5, calcification: after the degeneration of fibroids, there are deposits of calcium salts, slowly becoming calcified foci.
