Normally, the blood station staff will notify the donor within 3-5 working days whether the blood is qualified or not by SMS. After the blood donation, the staff at the blood station will conduct further checks on the donated blood, including routine blood tests, five tests for hepatitis B, five tests for hepatitis C, one test for syphilis, one test for AIDS, and so on. If all these tests are passed, the blood bank staff will notify the donor by SMS that the blood is qualified. If the blood donated has abnormal results in any of the items, the staff at the blood station will also inform the donor by SMS which result is abnormal and suggest the donor for further examination. If an increase in transaminases is found, the blood station staff will notify the donor for further examination to find the cause of the increase in transaminases. Therefore, in general, you can know whether your donated blood is qualified within 3-5 working days after donation.
