How long does it take for acute gastritis to heal?

Acute gastritis usually recovers completely after 5-7 days with active standardized treatment. Acute gastritis is an acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa caused by various causes. Generally, after the onset of the disease, patients should improve blood and stool tests to clarify the specific cause before actively treating the symptoms. In most patients, after 2-3 days of treatment, the symptoms of discomfort can usually be significantly relieved and can be cured in about 5-7 days. In some patients, the treatment period may need to be extended if the disease is severe or combined with other diseases. It is important to note that if the patient’s symptoms persist and are not actively treated, the change may also progress to chronic superficial gastritis. During the treatment of acute gastroenteritis patients, it is best to choose some liquid, easily digestible food, such as millet porridge, rice soup, yogurt, etc. These foods not only facilitate human digestion and absorption, but also enhance the function of the human immune system to a certain extent and promote physical recovery.
