How is a routine white belt test done?

A woman has a routine leuko test by exposing the vagina with a vaginal speculum and using a cotton swab to take the discharge from the middle part of the vagina and then put it into a sterile, dry test tube to be sent for testing. Women should not have vaginal discharge or douching or sexual intercourse three days before the routine LBS test to avoid affecting the judgment of the results. The routine white belt test is used to check vaginal cleanliness, white blood cell count, type of bacterial infection, etc. It can also be used to assist in the diagnosis of specific vaginal inflammatory conditions. The more common types of vaginal inflammation in women are bacterial vaginitis, trichomoniasis, mycotic vaginitis or mixed vaginitis. When vaginitis occurs, women may experience increased leukorrhea discharge, vulvar itching, and odor, which can easily have a negative impact on a woman’s body.
