What’s wrong with the right eye?

Jumping of the right eye can be associated with physiologic and pathologic factors. Pathological factors, such as keratitis and factors causing facial nerve paralysis can cause the symptoms.
1. Physiological factors: in the case of excessive eye fatigue or bright light stimulation, etc., blepharospasm can occur, and the eye muscles feel constantly throbbing, but generally short-lived, and can be relieved on their own.
2. Pathological factors: keratitis, facial nerve palsy and other symptoms that may lead to eye jumping.
(1) Keratitis: When the corneal tissue is inflamed by external or endogenous pathogenic factors, eye irritation symptoms, such as photophobia, tearing, eye pain and blepharospasm, etc., may occur, and the symptoms may last until the inflammation subsides.
(2) Facial nerve paralysis: Cerebrovascular diseases, such as cerebral hemorrhage, viral infection leading to facial neuritis, and intracranial tumors causing facial nerve compression and other etiologies, can cause facial nerve paralysis, both paralysis of the facial expression muscles, but also can be accompanied by spasm of the facial muscles, affected orbicularis oculi muscle can be spasmodic manifestations, so self-perceived eye jumping.
If the right eye continues to throb and is not relieved after rest or is accompanied by other abnormal manifestations, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions to treat the cause and symptoms.
