How to treat multiple uterine fibroids and infertility in elderly women?

Patient: I have never had a baby, I want to have a baby, I am 38 years old, ultrasound indicates multiple fibroids (subplasma & interstitial), how should I treat them? If I have surgery, how soon can I start pregnancy after surgery? Fan Wensheng, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Beijing 301 Hospital: For women of advanced age with multiple fibroids, they should get pregnant as soon as possible. Although there is a possibility of spontaneous miscarriage or deformation of fibroids during pregnancy, most of them are still not affected; however, if surgery is done, it is usually necessary to wait 1-2 years after myomectomy to consider pregnancy because the uterine scar is not healing well, which may lead to uterine rupture and fetal death during pregnancy, especially in late pregnancy, and treatment may even require removal of the uterus. And during these 1-2 years of waiting, recurrence of fibroids may occur again. That is why older women with a combination of not too large fibroids should get pregnant as early as possible. If there has been a spontaneous abortion of the pregnancy or if the interstitial fibroid is larger than 5CM, surgery may be considered first.
