Do human bites require rabies vaccination?

A human bite does not require rabies vaccination at all because people do not carry the rabies virus, but if you are bitten by a dog and have broken skin, you need to consider the possibility of a potential rabies infection, at which point you should go to the nearest vaccination station and get a rabies vaccination within 24 hours. Rabies is a preventable but untreatable disease, and once infected there is arguably no cure, with a mortality rate of 100%. If a person bites a person, there is no need to get a rabies vaccination, but if a dog or cat bites a person, a vaccination is required. The rabies vaccination requires a total of five shots for the entire process, nearly one month, to effectively stop the rabies virus from infecting the person.
